Keep your PETS free of PESTS
Our loved ones are now ready to enjoy the beautiful warm weather. As we clean up our yards and plan for vacation, we must keep in mind the different pests that are out to get our pets. Among these many pests we would like to highlight some of the ones which you can help your dog and cat stay protected from. Ticks and mosquitoes will soon be seen all around. These can cause very painful and permanent diseases. If your pet is not yet vaccinated against tick borne diseases nor protected against heartworm disease please contact our office for information on what you can do to protect your loved one. Fleas will also be invading the fields soon. Many health related issues can stem from a flea bite. In order to avoid an uncomfortable, itchy, and possible sick dog, save yourself a headache and ask us about our latest flea control product. We constantly look for healthier and less toxic products that can do the job without harming you or your pet. Last but not least, kennel cough. Kennel cough in dogs is common around this season as our pets are exposed much more to the outdoors than in the winter. It is an airborne bacterium that can be transmitted to dogs as they come in contact with other canines who have the virus or areas where ill dogs have been. These places may include grooming spas, boarding, day care, dog parks, etc. Call ahead and ask us about vaccinating your dog with a Canine Bordatella Vaccination to help prevent Kennel Cough. We are here to assist you and your pet to have a healthy and happy life and also a healthy and happy summer!
